James Lester is an impact analyst and energy expert with over a decade of experience in measuring social and environmental impacts (SEI), energy finance and public policy. He has worked on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate policy issues for investors, utilities, Fortune 500 companies, federal departments such as the EPA and DOE, state and local governments, and a wide range renewable energy companies.
James has authored a number of publications and research reports that provide sources and tools needed to promote investment in clean energy. He developed publications used by state and local governments to acquire and finance clean energy and energy efficiency technologies. Federal and State policymakers have relied on James’ expertise in identifying and quantifying the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy. He has supported the development and implementation of cost-effective clean energy initiatives.
